Introducing Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body using thin needles. It is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine. By stimulating key acupuncture points corrects imbalances in the flow of qi through channels known as meridians. The purpose of acupuncture is to treat various conditions, most known for pain relief. It is a safe treatment with a low risk of adverse effects.
Acupuncture originates from China and has been practiced there for thousands of years. There are records of acupuncture being used hundreds of years ago in Europe, it was during the second half of the twentieth century it began to spread rapidly in Western Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Acupuncture is known to ease your aching back, boost the effectiveness of the medication, soothe indigestion. dull persistent headaches and many more other benefits. Acupuncture treatments can help improve the overall health of your liver as well as treat stress, anger, and frustration, which are often associated with liver qi disharmony.
Seasonal acupuncture treatments just four times a year can serve to tonify the inner organ systems and can correct minor annoyances before they become serious problems. Traditionally, acupuncture is done each change of season to allow our bodies to adapt and be in harmony with the seasons. Scottsdale Spa advocates this, as well, and believes it is an important part of optimizing health and well-being. Acupuncture can help unblock that qi so that the person’s energy aligns itself with the season.
